Today Sedona gained designation as the 2nd International Dark Sky City in Northern Arizona. May not sound like a big deal, but that now means we have 2 of only 8 certified Dark Sky Cities in the world, right here in our backyard.  What’s this mean for you? Well, first off, we here in Northern Arizona are now certified in having awesome star gazing. Moreover, this means that it’s getting increasingly easier for us to get a great view of the stars anywhere we go up here. The kicker here is that instead of increasing light pollution (that will inevitably tarnish the unreal night sky of the Grand Canyon area) as populations grow, cities like Flagstaff and Sedona are working to reverse the effect.

WELL PLAYED SEDONA!
