
Drew
Drew Andersen was born and raised in the Phoenix, Arizona area. After finishing a B.S. in Political Science at Northern Arizona University, Drew moved around a bit before landing in the heart of the Grand Circle – Page, Arizona. It was there that Drew began guiding and wandering the Colorado Plateau. Aside from guiding, Drew enjoys fly-fishing, backpacking, mountain biking, a good beer and family.

Marcia
Artist and naturalist Marcia Burns has lived in Arizona for over 30 years, and has worked on both the north and south rims of the Grand Canyon, as well as guiding trips to the bottom of the “big ditch”. Marcia has been sharing the beauty of the area for over 14 years with people. A ceramic artist for 38 years, Marcia creates southwest animals and landscapes in her Flagstaff studio when she is not guiding.

Cayla
Born and raised in Page, Arizona, Cayla grew up surrounded by the majesty of the Colorado Plateau. Cayla and her family regularly spent the weekends hiking, camping, river rafting, biking, swimming, and more. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Portland State University, Cayla worked as a river guide for ROW Adventures in Idaho. For Cayla the outdoors is not just a beautiful landscape, but a way of life.

Bob
Bob fell in love with the outdoors at the age of nine, when his family moved to Page, Arizona. As a child, he would gather the neighborhood kids together on Saturdays and lead them on outings. He has been hiking and exploring Arizona and the Grand Canyon ever since, and has led countless trips for the Sierra Club, private parties, church groups, and more. He has hiked every rim-to-river trail in the Grand Canyon, and his forty-plus years of experience have endowed him with a vast knowledge of the canyon’s geology and history, which he loves sharing with others. Bob has also served as president of the Natural Arch and Bridge Society.

Dane
An avid outdoorsman, traveler, and lifelong Arizona resident, Dane has been a passionate explorer since an early age. Dane received his bachelor’s of science in geology from Northern Arizona University, and worked as a professional geologist before coming over to Adventure Southwest. His knowledge of Colorado Plateau geology provides for a very informative and entertaining trip. Dane also is an active member of the Coconino County Search and Rescue team.
